Writepress Personal Blog and Magazine WordPress Theme Overview
Writepress, from the seller apressthemes, is a minimal personal blog and magazine layout whose selling point is the number of presentation choices. The vendor counts fifteen article listing styles, among them masonry, grid, chequered, parallax and full screen, plus five carousels and five sliders for a home page header.
Around those sit five header designs, three footer designs, a mega menu, sticky navigation, unlimited colour settings and a large font library, all from the theme’s own admin panel. A drag and drop builder is bundled for assembling page content, and the custom widgets cover an author profile, company details, recent work, recent articles and social feeds.
Age is the main thing to weigh. The record declares one WordPress version, from the 4.7 series, and was last updated in April 2019. The vendor does not call the theme retired, but behaviour on a current installation should be confirmed first.

Who Writepress Personal Blog and Magazine WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
Individual Canadian writers, columnists and small lifestyle or culture publications are the audience, particularly where one person wants many ready made ways to present articles without building layouts from scratch.
Anyone needing current block editor behaviour, a modern builder, paid access or a shop should treat this as a careful choice, and testing the demo and download on a current WordPress comes first.
Important Notes About Writepress Personal Blog and Magazine WordPress Theme
Version signals are thin. The packaged style sheet reads 2.1.0, the listing publishes no update history, and the record declares compatibility only with the 4.7 series while marking the theme as not block editor optimised. The description nevertheless claims block editor readiness, which that ceiling predates, so the claim needs testing. The declared list names an abandoned store plugin where the description names WooCommerce, and the search and form plugins the description cites are missing from the record. The bundled builder is declared at a release many versions behind the current product, and the listing does not state what licence that copy carries, which matters because page content depends on the builder staying installed. Support runs through a personal mailbox and an off marketplace forum.
The page claims readiness for European privacy rules, which is not the Canadian position. Commenter records are personal information under PIPEDA, Quebec’s Law 25 and the Alberta and British Columbia acts, any sign-up added later needs consent and a working unsubscribe under CASL, and Bill 96 requires French where the publication serves Quebec. The social feed widgets depend on platforms whose interfaces change. AppiAppi gives no legal advice.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
The customer buys the licence and AppiAppi installs the theme, checks it against a current WordPress, then builds the site with the writer’s own articles, images and branding. Listing style, header and footer choice, the mega menu, typography, colour, widgets and any contact form are configured during that build.
AppiAppi then keeps the theme, builder and plugins updated, provides AI-assisted SEO and content support, publishes new articles as agreed, and answers enquiries at the subscription’s level.
