Volter – Responsive Creative & Minimal WordPress Theme Overview
Volter is a multi concept creative theme from UnTheme, first listed in 2016 and maintained since at a slow but steady pace. Page layout uses the bundled Visual Composer builder, now known as WPBakery Page Builder, with Slider Revolution for sliders.
The theme is organised around portfolio and blog presentation: several portfolio column counts, single project styles with slider areas, per item background images, and blog layouts in standard, grid and list form with audio, video, gallery, quote and link post formats.
A WooCommerce shop, a mega menu, parallax sections, full screen sections and movable sidebars complete the set, with Less and Sass stylesheets and a compiler that combines them for delivery. Counters, pie charts, progress bars and graph elements come as shortcodes, and a map block covers contact pages.

Who Volter – Responsive Creative & Minimal WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
The multi concept framing is accurate enough: a Canadian photo studio, personal brand or small corporate site can each be assembled from the same parts, and the shop makes it workable for a studio selling prints or merchandise. The options panel is broad, which suits an owner who expects to make small changes unaided.
The practical consideration is the builder. Content laid out in Visual Composer is tied to its shortcodes, so a later redesign on a different theme means rebuilding the pages. A studio planning a short lived site should weigh that before committing, since the cost lands at the next redesign rather than at launch.
Important Notes About Volter – Responsive Creative & Minimal WordPress Theme
The version signals agree here: the newest change log entry, the download and the marketplace update all land on 2.2 in October 2025, with declared compatibility reaching WordPress 6.8.x. Other parts of the listing are less reliable. One paragraph says layouts can be built with Toot, the change log labels most releases StarPath, and the style.css in the download names the product WP Volter, all leftover text from other work rather than evidence about this code.
Visual Composer, Slider Revolution, Contact Form 7 and WPML are named throughout the body but only WooCommerce appears in the declared compatibility record. An Instagram footer area is still advertised with no plugin named and nothing in the log about maintaining that connection, so a working feed needs a current plugin and the business’s own platform access, unconfirmed against the package and best tested on the demo. The map element predates the requirement for a billing enabled Google key, which the listing does not mention. AppiAppi gives no legal advice.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
AppiAppi installs the licensed theme, builds the portfolio and project pages from the client’s own work, configures the mega menu and sidebars, and sets up the shop where one is needed.
Demo photography is replaced, since it is licensed to the vendor rather than the buyer, and parallax and full screen sections are checked for keyboard navigation and reduced motion. AppiAppi also handles AI assisted SEO and content support, applies theme and plugin updates, and keeps the site running under the client’s subscription plan.
