Steako – Butcher Shop & Meat Box WordPress Theme Overview
Steako is a WooCommerce theme published by Themelexus for butchers, meat markets and online meat retailers. It provides the storefront styling, product and category templates and sections dressed for the trade. Stock, ordering and provincial tax handling sit with WooCommerce beneath.
Elementor is the editor, and the listing records the theme as not optimised for the block editor, so that choice is a lasting one. A header and footer builder covers navigation, a notice bar and the footer, and a one click import loads the prebuilt pages.
Beyond the shop the download carries more than twenty inner page templates, among them partner farms, services and a meat box detail page. Filtering by type of meat and style of cooking uses WooCommerce categories and attributes suited to a butcher.

Who Steako – Butcher Shop & Meat Box WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
It fits an established butcher or meat market with licensed supply in place that wants its range online: counter cuts sold by weight, prepared bundles and a set of delivery areas. A farm selling its own animals or a barbecue caterer can use the same templates.
It is a weaker choice for a business built on a recurring box: the theme gives the layouts for presenting one and nothing that bills for it on a schedule. A restaurant needing only a menu and reservations is a poor match.
Important Notes About Steako – Butcher Shop & Meat Box WordPress Theme
The title, the tags and several sections promise a meat box subscription, but no plugin managing recurring orders is named anywhere, and recurring billing in WooCommerce comes from a separate paid extension the owner must licence. No delivery scheduling appears either: no date picker, no zone planner, so order timing stays manual. The wishlist and quick view are presented as part of WooCommerce, which has no wishlist of its own, so the owner should establish on the demo which plugin supplies it. Contact Form 7 sits in the declared record without being advertised, and some demos draw on Adobe Fonts, needing the owner’s own account. AppiAppi builds no countdown clocks or scarcity bars.
Selling meat online in Canada is a food business before it is a website. The Safe Food for Canadians Regulations and CFIA licensing apply, meat is inspected federally or provincially depending on where it is sold, and interprovincial sale requires a federally registered establishment. Allergen and nutrition labelling is mandatory, and a frozen delivery model needs a documented cold chain. That rests with the owner, and AppiAppi gives no legal advice.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
The customer buys their own licence and AppiAppi installs the theme, imports a demo as a start, then replaces the sample photography and wording with the owner’s cuts and prices. We build out the product and category templates, filtering by cut, the cart and checkout layout, the account area and order emails, connect the owner’s payment gateway and set shipping zones with tax by province.
From then on we load and revise products, apply WordPress, WooCommerce, theme and plugin updates, handle orders and provide AI assisted SEO and content help, matched to the customer’s plan.
