Shib – Multipurpose WordPress Theme Overview
Shib is an inexpensive Elementor theme from lbthemes that keeps its settings in the WordPress Customizer rather than a separate options framework. The download bundles Smart Slider 3, and the marketplace record confirms The Events Calendar, WooCommerce and WPML alongside Contact Form 7.
The title offers multipurpose breadth, but the listing enumerates no demos by name, so there is nothing to choose between. What the record corroborates, and what the tag list points at, is an IT-services or association site with a working events calendar and a modest catalogue. The live preview is the only reliable guide to scope.
One structural fact shapes the package: at version 2.0 the vendor dropped WPBakery support and adopted Elementor. Everything current is Elementor, and any guidance or demo content predating that change assumes a builder the theme no longer uses. That matters when reading any third-party tutorial written for an earlier version.

Who Shib – Multipurpose WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
At this price it suits a small IT or technical services firm, a community association or club that publishes a calendar of dates, or a one-person consultancy wanting a tidy site and an events page without commissioning either. A short product list sits behind the same install.
Two groups should look elsewhere. There is no member area, no ticketing and no registration workflow, so events are published rather than sold; and a business needing current WordPress compatibility underwritten by the vendor will not find it here.
Important Notes About Shib – Multipurpose WordPress Theme
All four staleness signals agree here, which is unusual and decisive. The newest published entry is dated 29 August 2023, the marketplace recorded its last update that same day, the delivered style.css reads 2.1 to match, and the declared ceiling stops at WordPress 6.2.x. Nothing has shipped in three years, so compatibility with current WordPress, WooCommerce and Elementor is untested by the vendor and must be proven on a staging copy first.
That same entry claims a WordPress release the declared record does not carry, and Smart Slider 3 is named in the body but not the record. The marketplace declares this theme well documented, yet its only documentation button points at a plain http address and the support graphic beside it carries the documentation image’s alternative text, which suggests neither was checked.
A newsletter block is not consent by itself: Canada’s anti-spam legislation requires express consent, sender identification and a working unsubscribe, and names collected through forms fall under PIPEDA or Quebec’s Law 25. Where an event sells tickets or serves alcohol, provincial rules apply and the owner is responsible. AppiAppi gives no legal advice.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
The licence is bought by the customer. Given the vendor’s release history AppiAppi installs on a staging copy first, proves the calendar, shop and slider against the current WordPress version, and only then builds the real pages: services, about, the events listing, the blog and the contact routes.
Content, images and any product records are loaded to match the client’s own material, with real testimonials only. Ongoing work covers core and plugin updates, security patching, monitoring after WordPress releases, publishing events and posts, and replying to enquiries, with AppiAppi’s AI-assisted SEO and content help on the applicable plan.
