OM – A stylish blogging theme for WordPress Overview
OM is a photoblogging and visual storytelling theme from Codestag, for sites where pictures carry the story. The declared record shows it built on Underscores, the starter framework WordPress itself maintains, which keeps the template structure conventional and straightforward for a developer to extend.
The home page is widgetized and its sections can be reordered rather than fixed by the template. Layout choices exist separately for the blog, archives, search, single posts and pages. Typography runs through a Typekit connection beside Google Web Fonts, with one accent colour driving the palette.
Header and footer widget areas, a background setting and a child theme complete the customization surface. This is a long-standing listing rather than a recent release, first published in 2014, and the package now carries version 1.4.1.

Who OM – A stylish blogging theme for WordPress Is Suitable For
This fits Canadian photographers, illustrators and essayists who publish in sequence: a photo series, a travel narrative, a studio journal. Because the front page is assembled from widgets, an owner can lead with a recent set one month and one long piece the next without a developer.
It is not a magazine engine. There are no section fronts, no trending or editor’s pick placements and no multi-author desk, so a title running several contributors to a daily schedule will outgrow it. Anyone who wants a drag-and-drop builder should look elsewhere, since configuration here is the WordPress Customizer.
Important Notes About OM – A stylish blogging theme for WordPress
The declared Gutenberg field reads yes and the description shows the block editor, so the two agree. The version trail is weaker: no changelog is published here, only a link to a text file on the vendor’s demo site, leaving the packaged 1.4.1 as the single signal against a declared ceiling of WordPress 5.8.x.
The description offers layered PSD files, yet the declared file list covers PHP, CSS and JavaScript only. Jetpack, Contact Form 7, StagTools and Stag Custom Sidebars are named in the body while the declared record holds Gravity Forms and WPML. StagTools supplies the shortcodes, so anything built with them stops rendering if it is switched off.
A contact form and a comment thread both collect personal information, covered by PIPEDA federally, by Law 25 in Quebec, and separately in Alberta and British Columbia. The Charter of the French Language, as amended by Bill 96, covers a commercial publication serving Quebec. None of this is legal advice from AppiAppi.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
The theme is licensed by the customer. AppiAppi installs it, then arranges the widgetized home page around the customer’s actual material, sets the accent colour and type stack, and configures the blog, archive, search and single-post layouts so reading stays consistent sitewide.
After launch AppiAppi handles author pages, related content and pagination, contact form routing, web feeds, structured data and sharing, and connects any sign-up block to the mail provider the customer already uses. AI-assisted SEO and content support, publishing, image optimization, updates and reader correspondence continue under the chosen plan.
