Olam – Easy Digital Downloads Marketplace WordPress Theme Overview
This webnesters theme builds a WordPress shop whose products are files. Easy Digital Downloads provides the commerce and the delivery; the theme adds shop and item templates, listing grids and several plugins of its own. It is assembled on the Unyson framework, a drag-and-drop page builder, which the marketplace record declares. Unyson’s WordPress directory page was closed on 11 October 2023 over a security issue, so that builder takes no further directory updates and cannot be fetched from there again; pages built in it would need redrawing to move to the Elementor route.
A separate widget plugin exposes the same elements inside Elementor for owners who prefer that builder.
Items can carry several preview images, with audio and video previews uploaded separately or linked from a video host, and a rating on every product. Around that sit vendor store pages, a purpose-built search, a mega menu and a dark presentation.

Who Olam – Easy Digital Downloads Marketplace WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
This fits a Canadian seller with one catalogue under one name: a plugin developer, a font or icon designer, a sound library, a stock footage seller, a template studio, or a consultancy packaging documents as paid downloads.
A business selling prepackaged services rather than files also works, a model the vendor demonstrates with a layout of its own. Anyone needing right-to-left languages should read the second note.
Important Notes About Olam – Easy Digital Downloads Marketplace WordPress Theme
The vendor states the position plainly: by default this is a single-vendor digital store, and making it a marketplace requires the Front End Submission extension, which the listing puts among paid demo plugins excluded from the purchase. Paying those sellers needs the commission extension, another separate purchase. Both belong to the commerce plugin’s author, with their own licences and release cycles and no support owed to a theme buyer. The vendor also confirms the multiple preview gallery is unavailable on items submitted through that extension, so contributor listings differ from the owner’s own.
Right-to-left languages are unsupported, the change log admits a gap where entries were lost, and the newest logged release sits one revision behind both the version banner and the packaged files, so a release has shipped undocumented. The record declares neither Elementor nor WooCommerce despite both being discussed, and marks the block editor unsupported. Buyers wanting WooCommerce alone are pointed at a different product. Canadian rules still bind: fees inside the advertised price, provincial tax by buyer, refund terms before purchase, Quebec’s distance-contract duties, real ratings only, and PIPEDA and Law 25 on records.
