Manufactura – Handmade Crafts, Artisan, Artist WordPress Theme Overview
A maker’s site with the workshop kept in view: leatherwork, carpentry, ceramics, small-batch jewellery, and anything else produced by hand in limited numbers.
BoldThemes publishes it. Page building runs on the vendor’s own builder rather than a third-party plugin, theme options sit in the WordPress customizer, and a child theme is ready for your own changes.
The distinguishing element is a customisable quote calculator, sitting alongside portfolio shortcodes, custom icon sets, several header layouts including a sticky one, and full-width or boxed treatment for blog and portfolio tiles.

Who Manufactura – Handmade Crafts, Artisan, Artist WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
A Canadian leatherworker, cabinetmaker, potter, glass artist, candle or soap maker, or a small studio selling through its own site. Page transitions and tile layouts are built around photography, which is what actually sells work made by hand.
WooCommerce is the sole commerce engine, with the declared record confirming it to the 9.x series alongside WPML. That quote calculator is the theme’s own element rather than a named third-party plugin, so check on the demo what it collects and whether it prices anything or merely forwards a request; it is no measurement-and-quote system wired into the cart. Beyond that there is no commission queue, no consignment accounting, and no workshop or class booking.
Important Notes About Manufactura – Handmade Crafts, Artisan, Artist WordPress Theme
Handmade, artisan and Made in Canada are claims carrying real meaning rather than decoration. Origin wording has defined content thresholds, so use it only where goods meet them, and be specific about what you make and what is bought in and finished. If the site sells other makers’ work, consignment and commission terms belong in writing: who owns a piece until it sells, what the split is, who bears loss or damage, and when the maker is paid. Soaps, candles and cosmetics form a separate regime again, with notification and ingredient labelling of their own and no health or therapeutic claims whatsoever. The seller is responsible, and AppiAppi offers no legal advice.
No changelog appears on the listing, the vendor pointing to an external file instead, so no dated comparison was possible and no published history exists to check the download against. Its stylesheet reads 1.3.7 under a two-word description identifying no product. The declared WooCommerce ceiling reaches 9.x only, Gutenberg optimisation is absent, and IE10 and IE11 sit in the browser list.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
Holding the licence in your own account leaves BoldThemes responsible for releases and for support. Installation begins on staging, where the vendor is asked for a release history since none is published, and the builder is run on a supported WordPress.
Pieces go in as products with material, dimensions, finish and, where a textile is involved, fibre content and care wording that matches the physical label. The quote calculator asks what you genuinely need in order to answer, and sends a request rather than implying a fixed price. Lead times, the variation between handmade items and which pieces cannot be returned all appear before the form. Carriage, provincial tax, insurance and customer accounts are configured, with French added where read. Your plan covers uploads, tested updates, customer replies, and AI-assisted SEO and copy.
