Lifestyle | Newspaper Portal Blog and Magazine WordPress Theme Overview
Lifestyle is a portal, newspaper and magazine layout from the seller lotsofthings, unusual for what it leaves out: the vendor states plainly that it uses no site builder and is built on custom code and WordPress’s own template files. Pages are configured rather than assembled, with no builder lock-in to inherit.
The portal structure is genuine. The home page stacks category sections, each with a heading, a link through to the category and a feed of its latest articles, beside a sticky sidebar. Featured material comes from WordPress sticky posts in one of three presentations, and the general feed is tiles, a vertical list with excerpts, or masonry.
Two demos are published, one blog and one portal, the clearest way to see which shape is being bought.

Who Lifestyle | Newspaper Portal Blog and Magazine WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
This suits a local news site, a community portal or a multi-subject magazine where several categories need equal prominence, and an owner who would rather configure than learn a builder. It also fits a publisher planning a small shop, since WooCommerce is supported once that plugin is installed. A single-subject personal blog would leave most of it unused.
Important Notes About Lifestyle | Newspaper Portal Blog and Magazine WordPress Theme
A site that publishes news and moderates comments carries real exposure in Canada. Defamation law here is markedly less publisher-friendly than the American equivalent, with no broad public-figure defence, and a publisher can be answerable for material in comments it moderates. A moderation policy, a corrections route and a named contact are the practical answers, and comment data is personal information under privacy law. AppiAppi gives no legal advice.
The listing publishes no changelog at all. The packaged style.css reads 2.0, the marketplace file update is July 2024, and the declared WordPress range is a single version matching that date, so the package is not stale but it is undocumented, and compatibility above that version is untested. The layout combinations the body promises are published only as an image.
Advertising here is a sticky sidebar position, not an ad system: no inventory, scheduling, targeting or revenue reporting. The vendor says directly that the newsletter needs a plugin and a shortcode, so sending, consent records and unsubscribes belong to that provider. The packaged file carries a corrupted author name, demo photography is licensed stock and is not included, and there is no paywall or subscription billing.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
AppiAppi installs the theme, migrates the owner’s articles, categories and images, and builds the home page as stacked category sections in the publication’s own order, with feed styles matched to the material. We set the archive templates, the article header and body layout, typography, author details, related articles and pagination, the editor pick block, sidebar advertising positions, a sign-up block pointed at the owner’s mail provider, and feeds, structured data and sharing. Comment moderation, a corrections page and a contact route are set up with the owner. AppiAppi’s AI-assisted SEO and content work is quoted separately.
