Ivy – Creative Photography / Portfolio / Agency WP Theme with WooCommerce Overview
A minimal photography, portfolio and studio theme whose listing is short and whose record is thin. It supplies pages covering home variants, portfolios, studio and team, a blog, contact and a short shop section.
UnionAgency publishes it. Visual Composer 4.12.x is the declared page builder, the theme’s own features sit in a companion plugin the notes call the Ivy plugin, and layered PSD files come with the download.
It is firmly a presentation layer: nothing here manages a photography business, and the shop pages are WooCommerce’s own templates restyled.

Who Ivy – Creative Photography / Portfolio / Agency WP Theme with WooCommerce Is Suitable For
Photographers and small studios who want a quiet, image-led layout and will supply their own work. Because the declared WooCommerce generation dates from 2016, a shop here means current templates styled afresh rather than the seven pages as delivered, and that belongs in the quote.
It does not suit a photographer who must deliver files to clients, or a store with more than a short product list. Both are separate builds.
Important Notes About Ivy – Creative Photography / Portfolio / Agency WP Theme with WooCommerce
There is no client workflow here, and that is what photography buyers most often get wrong. No proofing galleries, no gated download delivery, no print ordering, no lab integration, no watermarking, no download expiry. WordPress can password-protect a page, but that hides a page rather than gating a file, so real proofing and delivery needs a dedicated service or a purpose-built WooCommerce flow. The login in the update notes is WooCommerce’s account page.
On the shop, the theme supplies styling only. Inventory, orders, tax rates, shipping and checkout stay WooCommerce’s work and need configuring for Canadian provinces, and selling prints also needs a fulfilment route, size and finish variations and packaging that survives shipping.
Nothing dates this download. The packaged style.css reads 1.16 and describes a different product entirely, an app and startup theme; the update notes carry day and month only, with no year, no versions and no clear order; the marketplace file update is August 2018; and the declared ceiling is WordPress 4.7.x, older still. Documentation is declared yet no link appears anywhere, and the note about images refers to PSD files.
Photographs of identifiable people need model releases for commercial use, Quebec recognises a distinct right to one’s image, and private interiors and some landmarks need property releases. AppiAppi gives no advice on consent or releases.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
AppiAppi installs the licensed theme and its companion plugin, imports a starting layout, then builds the real galleries, project pages, studio and team content, services and enquiry forms from the customer’s photographs, and rewrites the shop pages against current WooCommerce if a shop is in scope.
Photographs are compressed and delivered at responsive sizes, lazy loading is applied to the grids, and every image gets a real file name and alternative text. AppiAppi provides AI-assisted SEO and content support, watches security on a package this old, answers enquiries and orders, and manages the site under the customer’s plan.
