Grenada – Creative WordPress Ajax Portfolio Showcase Slider Theme Overview
Grenada is a showcase theme from ClaPat whose proposition is the way a visitor moves through it. Rather than loading conventional pages it swaps content in place with Ajax transitions, and the front of the site is a portfolio slider instead of a grid.
Three slider arrangements are provided: a split horizontal layout, a centred carousel and a fullscreen fading sequence. A hero section can carry video. WPBakery Page Builder is in the download and is the only page editor declared here.
Everything else is subordinate to that structure: an options panel covering headers, footers, portfolio and blog behaviour, typography, a contact map and an error page.

Who Grenada – Creative WordPress Ajax Portfolio Showcase Slider Theme Is Suitable For
It fits a single practitioner or very small studio with a tight body of work: a photographer, an illustrator, an industrial designer, a director’s reel. Fifteen well shot projects shown one at a time read better here than a hundred thumbnails.
The format defeats anyone needing depth. A practice with service pages, a busy journal, a shop or a long capability list will fight the structure, as will an owner whose audience arrives from search after specific information. The marketplace record declares no shop compatibility here.
Important Notes About Grenada – Creative WordPress Ajax Portfolio Showcase Slider Theme
Be clear eyed about what the Ajax structure costs. Content arriving only after a script runs is harder to index and harder to reach by keyboard or with a screen reader, and scroll driven sliders are among the worst offenders for accessibility. The vendor does provide an option to turn the transitions off, and AppiAppi can disable them or reduce the motion, while making sure each project page has genuine headings, copy and alternative text.
The version record is inconsistent. The packaged style.css reads 3.0 while the newest entry in the listing’s history is 2.9 from July 2021, although the marketplace shows an October 2026 update. That history also runs out of sequence: an entry numbered 2.1 is dated January 2018, before this theme’s own first release. A vendor functionality plugin and a block editor addon appear only there, so check both on the demo. Demo photography is excluded from the download, and permission to publish commissioned work stays with the owner, a question AppiAppi cannot advise on.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
After purchase, AppiAppi installs the theme with WPBakery, imports the demo data as a frame and strips it back to the customer’s own material. The early decisions are which slider type carries the home page, how many projects belong in the showcase, and whether the Ajax transitions are kept at all. We set typography, the colour scheme and the contact map, and configure the error page.
Images and hero video are compressed and given responsive sizes, because a fullscreen showcase is heavy and many Canadian clients open it on a modest connection. Continuing support covers updates, backups, AI-assisted SEO and content work, adding new projects, and responding to contact form enquiries at the level the plan provides.
