DOIT - Creative MultiPurpose Theme WordPress theme homepage layout for a corporate creative website

DOIT – Creative MultiPurpose Theme Overview

DOIT is a multipurpose business and portfolio theme published by ThemeTon in 2014 and last revised in 2020. It is built around the vendor’s own drag and drop builder, with more than thirty content elements, prebuilt layouts and a mega menu.

The element set covers portfolios, galleries, team blocks, pricing tables and shop placement, and the admin side adds a large options panel with live customizer settings. Styling is LESS compiled on save, over a Bootstrap 3 foundation.

It describes a complete small business site of its period. Read as a current purchase, its foundations and supported plugin versions belong to the middle of the last decade.

Who DOIT – Creative MultiPurpose Theme Is Suitable For

On its own terms it suits a general business or studio site with a portfolio and a small shop. The honest reading is different: this is a design reference rather than a foundation, and AppiAppi would price a current build reproducing the layout on maintained components.

Anyone needing a supported shop or a current accessibility baseline should start elsewhere.

Important Notes About DOIT – Creative MultiPurpose Theme

Four signals agree on the theme’s condition. The newest published entry is version 1.5 of January 2019, the marketplace records a September 2020 revision, the packaged style.css reads 1.6, ahead of the last documented release, and the declared record stops at WordPress 5.0 and WooCommerce 3.4. The deprecation flag on this item quotes a 2018 line fixing deprecated functions, ordinary maintenance rather than a vendor statement about the product.

The vendor’s hosting is a larger problem. Its demonstration and documentation addresses both return a 503 error, every listing graphic on the vendor domain answers with an error page, and the vendor’s own site, still live and selling newer products, no longer mentions this one. The theme bundles three commercial slider plugins, and a bundled copy carries no entitlement from the plugin author, so of the two normal update routes only one remains open: the owner buying each licence directly.

The documentation links behind the builder elements point at Spare, another theme from the same vendor, and the packaged style.css describes a corporate theme rather than this one. Shared marketplace text proves nothing about the code, but the buyer’s documentation route is still wrong. A Google Plus sharing button is advertised although that service closed in 2019, the map element predates Google’s key requirement and now needs a billing enabled account, and the changelog records a cross site scripting fix in a bundled lightbox, so patching here is concrete rather than general advice. None of this is legal advice, which AppiAppi does not provide.

Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi

Where a customer owns this theme already, AppiAppi audits what is running, reports which bundled components are outdated, and sets out what a rebuild would cost against patching in place. We do not present an unmaintained package as a safe basis for a new commercial site.

For a build that goes ahead, we configure the project pages, the filterable portfolio, the services and team sections and the enquiry form, compress imagery and replace dependencies on closed services. Updates, backups, monitoring and AI-assisted support for search copy follow.
