Cabin – Beautiful Vintage WordPress Theme Overview
Cabin is a retro-styled theme from Select Themes, and the styling is the product. The demo is built on a predominantly green palette with antique and hipster portfolio arrangements, a set of motivational pages and a vintage landing page.
A buyer is adopting a visual position rather than a neutral frame. A brand that is not retro will need colours, display faces and textures reworked, which is design effort rather than a settings change; for a heritage or craft identity, that specificity is the reason to choose it.
Structurally the theme is generous. Headers run from fixed and sticky through expanded, divided and centred arrangements to an advanced one with widgets flanking the logo. Side menu areas change background from page to page, and portfolio and blog each offer masonry and several single templates.

Who Cabin – Beautiful Vintage WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
Cabin suits Canadian independents whose identity is already period or craft led: a barber shop, a bakery, a letterpress studio, a heritage furniture maker, a secondhand retailer. The motivational templates also lend themselves to a personal brand or a small publication with a deliberately analogue feel.
Anyone outside that register should price the restyling honestly first, because the green treatment and retro type are threaded through the demo rather than sitting on top of it. The WooCommerce side suits a modest catalogue of stocked goods, not a large or fast-moving inventory.
Important Notes About Cabin – Beautiful Vintage WordPress Theme
Shortcodes and the portfolio post type are held in a plugin called Cabin Core and disappear from the pages if it is deactivated. WPBakery Page Builder and LayerSlider arrive inside the download, but each is commercial with its own licence and release schedule, the bundle does not necessarily transfer their authors’ support, and WPBakery pages stay tied to WPBakery.
One 2018 entry in the update log records a Revolution Slider update although the package otherwise ships LayerSlider throughout, so judge the bundle by the demo and the download itself. The newest entry, September 2026, names no WordPress version; the last figure in the log is 6.4.2 from December 2023, while the marketplace declares 7.0.x. Demo photography cannot be reused, so period imagery and display faces must be licensed separately. AppiAppi is not a legal adviser.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
The customer licenses Cabin and AppiAppi installs it, imports the demo, and does the work the design needs: substituting the customer’s palette and type for the green retro treatment where the brand calls for it, and replacing every piece of demo imagery with licensed photography of the customer’s own products, premises or work.
Pages are then rebuilt as real content, with portfolio categories, the story page, the services listing, the shop pages and the contact form configured for how the business runs. Imagery is compressed and sized responsively, transitions are moderated, and headings and alt text are written throughout. AppiAppi handles updates, offers AI-assisted SEO and content support, answers enquiries and orders, and manages the site to the plan.
