Bateaux – Creative Multi-Purpose WordPress Theme Overview
Bateaux is a creative multipurpose theme from Twisttheme, built around Blueprint, the vendor’s own drag and drop page builder. Blueprint edits in place with an inline text editor and a template system for saving and moving layouts, and it replaces shortcodes rather than adding them.
The package counts twenty five homepage layouts, two niche demos, more than fifty prebuilt page templates and eighteen or more portfolio templates, with the builder also available inside single posts and single portfolio items. Vertical, horizontal and split slide pages, one page scrolling and seven preloader styles handle the transitions.
The practical caveat sits in the dates. The last update recorded on the item is February 2021, and the marketplace declares compatibility only as far as WordPress 5.6 and WooCommerce 4.9, with block editor optimisation marked no.

Who Bateaux – Creative Multi-Purpose WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
It suits a Canadian studio, agency or photographer who likes the demo as it stands and wants a site built once, with occasional project additions rather than constant change. The grid and slide templates carry a large body of visual work well. Blueprint is pleasant to work in, and for a site that will be laid out once and then left largely alone that matters more than its age.
It is the wrong starting point for a site that must stay current with WordPress and WooCommerce releases, or for a shop of any size, given how far behind the declared compatibility now sits. A theme still under active development will cost less to keep running over several years.
Important Notes About Bateaux – Creative Multi-Purpose WordPress Theme
Because Blueprint is proprietary, pages built in it do not transfer to another builder, and the theme’s age makes that lock in weigh more heavily. The listing carries no changelog, only an external link, and the only version marker in the package is the stylesheet. Any install should be checked on a staging site against current WordPress and PHP before going live.
Demo photography is copyrighted and excluded from the download, so all of it must be replaced. Where the owner publishes photographs of identifiable people, model releases are needed for commercial use, Quebec recognises a distinct right to one’s image, and private interiors may need a property release. That responsibility stays with the owner, and AppiAppi does not act as a legal adviser.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
Once the customer has licensed Bateaux, AppiAppi installs it on a current WordPress build, checks it there first, then imports the chosen homepage layout and replaces the demo content with the customer’s projects, services, pages and posts. We configure the header style, the portfolio and gallery templates, the single project layout, the contact form and the slide pages.
Preloaders, parallax and slide transitions are set to reasonable values and imagery is compressed and sized for mobile. The subscription plan then covers project uploads, AI assisted SEO and content support, WordPress and plugin updates, security monitoring and replies to site enquiries.
