Architecture – WordPress Theme Overview

Architecture is a minimal showcase theme from GoodLayers, published in 2012 and still receiving marketplace updates. It uses the studio’s own page builder and slider manager rather than a third-party plugin, with an options panel that recolours almost every element of the design.

Five content types do the structural work: gallery, portfolio, testimonial, price and personnel. That gives a practice project galleries, a people listing and a quotable client section without adding plugins. Thumbnails on any of those types can be a static image, a slide show or a video, so a project entry is not limited to one photograph. The layout was drawn on the 1140 grid system, so it is at its most comfortable above 1280 pixels and scales down responsively from there.

What it builds is a showcase site and nothing more. There is no drawing register, no tender or bid handling, no document exchange and no client area. Those functions live in practice software, and the website links out to them at most.

Who Architecture – WordPress Theme Is Suitable For

Architecture and design practices, engineering consultancies, builders and landscape or interior studios that want their projects presented large and uncluttered, with a short people section and a clear contact route. Price tables and a testimonial type are there for practices that publish fee bands or client commentary, though both ship empty.

Practices needing client document access, project tracking or a bid portal will need separate software. The fixed-width grid also means very large displays show generous margins rather than filling edge to edge.

Important Notes About Architecture – WordPress Theme

Architect and professional engineer are protected titles in Canada, administered provincially by bodies such as the OAA and PEO in Ontario, and interior designer is restricted in some provinces. The demo text uses the word architect freely, so the owner must actually hold the credential before the published site claims it, and firm naming carries its own requirements. AppiAppi gives no legal advice.

The listing has defects worth knowing about. The body copy opens with no subject at all, straight into "is a premium theme", and the name sits stranded at the foot of the page; two image credits were published as mail links rather than web links, so they do not resolve. A banner at the top points at the same studio’s newer architecture theme, which is worth comparing. The packaged style.css reads 1.2.8, no changelog is shown on the listing, and WPML is declared without being advertised. Demo photography is credited to Flickr contributors and a stock library and is not included.

Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi

The practice licenses the theme and AppiAppi installs it, then builds the practice’s projects into the gallery and portfolio types with proper titles, locations and descriptions in place of the demo’s stock imagery.

People profiles, service pages and a contact route are set up next, colours and typography matched to the practice’s identity, and AI-assisted SEO and content support provided for project write-ups. AppiAppi handles WordPress and theme updates, backups and enquiry responses under the agreed plan.
