Nouveau – Multipurpose WordPress Theme Overview
Nouveau is a multipurpose theme from Select Themes, part of the Qode Interactive group, and the listing is unusually honest about its scale: two layout examples ship, one with a conventional header across the top and one with a vertical menu down the left. Everything else is variation inside those two.
The elements are the familiar creative set. A parallax image and video slider opens a page, sections can take video backgrounds, AJAX transitions handle navigation, the search field expands over the header, and a sticky content menu builds itself from the sections of the page in view.
WooCommerce support is declared as well as advertised, so a short catalogue is workable, and pages are composed in WPBakery Page Builder with LayerSlider supplied alongside it. A child theme and one click demo import are included for a quicker start.

Who Nouveau – Multipurpose WordPress Theme Is Suitable For
Nouveau suits Canadian photographers, boutique fashion and beauty brands, interior and furniture studios and personal brands that lead with imagery. The left menu layout in particular reads well for a gallery style site, and the shop side can carry a handful of products without becoming the focus.
An owner expecting dozens of ready made industry demos should look elsewhere, because that is not what arrives. Both layouts are shells, and they only look like the preview once real photography and written pages are in place. Budgeting for photography matters more here than the cost of the licence.
Important Notes About Nouveau – Multipurpose WordPress Theme
The theme is actively maintained: the newest entry, dated February 2026, adds WooCommerce 10 support and improves PHP 8.3 compatibility, and the packaged version matches that entry. Declared support begins at WordPress 6.3, so an older installation needs upgrading first. WPBakery and LayerSlider each carry their own licence and update cycle, the bundle does not pass their vendors’ support to the buyer, and the theme’s elements and post types rely on the Nouveau Core plugin remaining active.
Demo photography stays with the vendor and cannot be reused. The published feature list also carries several spelling errors, which is cosmetic but a fair reminder to judge the package by the live demo. A brand selling into Quebec should plan French content of at least equal prominence under the province’s language rules, with the owner responsible for compliance. Theme support itself runs through the vendor’s own help centre, separately from anything AppiAppi provides, and AppiAppi gives no legal advice.
Setup & Ongoing Management by AppiAppi
Once the customer owns the licence, AppiAppi installs the theme, chooses between the top header and left menu layouts, and rebuilds the pages with the customer’s own photography, product range and copy. Portfolio or gallery categories are structured so collections can be browsed, and images are compressed and given responsive sizes.
Page transitions and slider effects are moderated so the site stays usable without a mouse. AppiAppi handles AI-assisted SEO and content support, uploads products, applies theme, plugin and WordPress updates, responds to enquiries and orders, and maintains the site at the level the customer’s subscription plan covers.
